Compar Vision Systems & Robotics IRL Ltd, based in the south east, a subsidiary of Compar AG based in Switzerland, develop customer-specific technical solutions in the area of industrial image processing (machine vision) and robotics.

We are actively seeking a new Software controls Engineer for an immediate start.

Controls Engineer – Vision Systems and Robotics

Your area of responsibilities include:

• Management and implementation of projects
• Programming and commissioning of image processing systems
• Technical processing of customer inquiries and sales support
• To liaise and work with our Swiss engineering team on a continuous basis for new and existing projects. Communicate customer requirements and expectations of deliverables. To prepare detailed technical information about each project, and the expected requirements for each project/solution.
• To visit and meet with new and existing customers for technical discussions about potential new projects, acquiring all the necessary information about the customers’ requirements.
• To exhibit at different trade fairs, to make new contacts and create new leads and potential projects.

Requirements for this role:

• HETAC Level 8 qualification in Engineering (Electrical / Electronic / Automation or similar)
• Experience in industrial image processing
• Knowledge of Robotics (EPSON is an advantage)
• Knowledge of MedTech and mechanical engineering is an advantage
• Experience of managing a portfolio across a range of diverse projects
• Strong knowledge of control system interfaces and architecture, machine control software experience
• Determined, flexible and resilient, with a high level of independence. Responsible, communicative and a team player
• Full driver’s license and own car
